If your electricity bill breaks out demand (kW and cost) by meter, then you can track it for each meter.
If your electricity bill does not break out demand by meter, then your demand (kW and cost) will probably be presented as one maximum value. If this is the case, you have two options:
- Track your maximum demand on one of your electricity meters
- Create a new “virtual” electricity meter to track demand. You’ll need to enter “0” energy usage each month.
For most people, it probably isn't important to track demand on the individual meter level. In fact, most of the Portfolio Manager demand metrics are annual property level metrics anyway:
- Annual Maximum Demand (kW)
- Annual Maximum Demand (MM/YYYY)
- Annual Demand Cost ($)
Only the metric Annual Maximum Demand (Meter Name (Meter ID)) will not be relevant in this case.
