Yes! EPA has an interactive, three-unit module that gives students an understanding of why energy efficiency matters, strategies for overcoming efficiency challenges, and how to benchmark using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. It was created for college students, but could also be used in high school.
The course can be adapted by instructors to meet their needs and interests, including by integrating it in full or in part into an existing, semester or quarter-length course, or by using it as the basis of a short, standalone course. This is an especially great opportunity in places where a local benchmarking competition or requirement is being implemented, giving students a chance to learn by doing while supporting local organizations.
