What is PUE? Follow

Data Center Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) is a standard measure of facility infrastructure efficiency in the IT industry. It measures how efficiently a data center uses energy; specifically, how much energy is used by the computing equipment (in contrast to cooling, lighting,  and other overhead). PUE is the basis for the ENERGY STAR score for a Data Center.

PUE is equal to the total energy consumption of a Data Center (for all fuels) divided by the energy consumption used for the IT equipment:

PUE = Total Facility Source Energy/ IT Source Energy

PUE is only available for properties where the only Property Type is Data Center (or Data Center + Parking).
