How are the schemas for the waste tracking web services structured? Follow

The waste tracking web services are similar to the web services for energy and water meters and their corresponding consumption data services. Web services providers can post meters for waste and then post “waste data” (similar to consumption for energy and water meters) to those meters.

One key difference is that the “type” field for waste meters must include both the type of material and its disposal method, as shown in this example POST /meter schema. You must also choose whether to enter waste data for each meter by weight or volume and the unit of measure you use to track waste.

You can choose from three potential data entry methods when creating a waste meter, similar to how you choose whether or not to enter consumption for bulk fuel meters as delivery:

1. Regular: Waste is picked up and measured at a regular interval (ie monthly) and you’ll enter the total weight/volume of waste picked up and the date range for each period:

2. Regular Container: Waste is picked up at a regular interval from a standard container, and you’ll enter how many times the container was emptied, how full it was on average, and the date range for each period:
