How do I account for an atrium? Follow

An atrium should be included in the main Property Use Type (ex: Office), it should not be broken out separately. The atrium Gross Floor Area (GFA) should be included in the total GFA for the main Property Use, as well as all the Property Use Details for the atrium should be included in the main Property Use Type.

The atrium GFA is the actual floor area at the base of the atrium. For example, if property A has an atrium that occupies 500 square feet on the base level and extends up three stories, you would enter 500 square feet for the atrium. If property B has an atrium that occupies 500 square feet on the ground level and extends up five stories, it would also be entered as 500 square feet.
