I received a "default indicator" value of "N/A". What does "N/A" signify? Follow

The default value flags indicate whether the value was calculated by the system using default values (Yes, No, or N/A). If the characteristic is required for benchmarking and the value is being defaulted then it is set to “Yes”. If the value is required, but the system is not using a default value then it is set to “No”.  If the characteristic is not required for benchmarking then it is set to N/A. This attribute only applies to retrieving data.  It will be ignored if provided as input.   Also note that some values are required, but cannot be assigned a default value (such as gross floor). Flags for these values will always be set to “No” since the system will never provide a value for that characteristic.
