Yes! After several successful years running the ENERGY STAR National Building Competition, EPA is now focused on encouraging and supporting organizations running their own energy, water, and/or waste competitions.
The ENERGY STAR National Building Competition has demonstrated the value of the competition model through its many years of successfully motivating participants to reduce energy and water waste in competing buildings.
EPA has a great set of resources for partners to use to host their own BOOTCAMPs and competitions:
- Communications materials
- A step-by-step guide to hosting a competition
- A recorded webinar: Tips for hosting your own energy competition: Lessons learned from BOOTCAMP success stories recording, which features EPA, Bozzuto Management Company, and Eastman Chemical Company discussing their experiences running energy competitions.
- A webpage to help you learn how to host your own ENERGY STAR Battle of the Buildings competition.
